Data policy for online advertising
D.A. Consortium Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") uses information of Internet users acquired from websites or the like to provide a variety of services. The Company will set forth basic matters relating to the use of such information, observe laws and regulations, and endeavor to use such information properly.

1.Acquisition of Informative Data
The Company acquires information relating to Internet users that can be acquired when Internet users use websites or applications and that can be accumulated and provided to analyze user interests/preferences (hereinafter referred to as "Informative Data").

Informative Data acquired by the Company is as follows:
(1) When using a browser (information acquisition using Cookie technology)
① Cookie IDs (codes issued by websites each time Cookies are sent)
② Page URLs for websites visited by an Internet user through their computer (browser)
③ Page categories (segments) and analysis results, etc., for websites visited by an Internet user using their computer (browser)
④ Websites visited, website pages viewed, and any other site transition or behavior history for an Internet user using their computer (browser)
(2) When using an application (information acquisition using advertising-dedicated device identifiers)
① Advertising-dedicated device identifiers provided by the operating systems (iOS, Android) of various smartphones (Advertising Identifier for iOS, Advertising ID for Android)
② Information relating to application use
③ IP addresses
④ Dates and times of application use
The above information only identifies at the individual-unit level, so individuals are not personally identifiable.
The retention period for Informative Data acquired by the Company is two years from the date a given Internet user (their computer (browser)) last visits the website concerned. For applications the period is two years from the date of last use.
4.Informative Data Purpose of Use, Acquisition Method, and Opt-out
The Company uses acquired Informative Data for the following purposes:
① The provision of products, services, and related information that match the interests and preferences of Internet users

② The development and improvement of products and services; and
③ The offering of products and services to the customers of the Company.
The Company acquires Informative Data using the following methods:
(1) When using a browser (acquisition using Cookies)
① Data management platform Cookies
On websites using AudienceOne®; the data management platform, the Company acquires Informative Data from the computers (browsers) of Internet users who visit said websites.

The Company acquires Informative Data from the computers (browsers) of Internet users who view webpages carrying advertising delivered by the “XmediaOne / EffectiveOne”; the advertising tracking systems.

(2) When using an application (acquisition using advertising-dedicated device identifier)
The Company receive Informative Data in a format enabling temporary use for advertising targeting from media companies that use sales/advertising revenue maximization support tools for media advertising frameworks called “SSP (Supply Side Platform),” and media companies or advertisers using tools for the study and analysis of information relating to application use called “tracking tools.”
If an application user does not desire the delivery of advertising using Informative Data (desires to opt-out), they should click this link.
However, doing so will only stop the delivery of advertising using Informative Data, and will not stop the delivery of advertising itself. The opt-out will be required again when changing to a new mobile device.
5.Informative Data Recipients and Purpose of Provision
The Company may, for the following purposes and using an appropriate method matching the relevant purpose(s), provide Informative Data to corporations using Company services, or any other advertising delivery business, media company, advertising company, advertiser partners, or academic research institutions (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Relevant Corporations”):
① The provision by the Relevant Corporations of information, etc., that matches the interests and preferences of Internet users (computer (browser) -directed) who view the website;
② The development, improvement and provision of products and services by the Relevant Corporations;
③ The offering of products and services by the Relevant Corporations to their customers; and
④ The provision by the Relevant Corporations for academic research purposes
Relevant Corporations shall also comply the following conditions:
① No activity conflicting with the Personal Information Protection Act;
② Informative Data is only to be used within the scope of the above purposes; and
③ Conditions ① and ② will be attached to any other party provided with Informative Data by Relevant Corporations
Depending on the computer (browser) used by Internet users, Cookie functionality may be disabled by changing the settings. However, please be aware that this may also disable some or all services on the website.
7.Reissue (Reset) of Advertising Dedicated Device Identifier
Depending on the device used by application users, the advertising-dedicated device identifier issued by the OS may be reissued (reset) by changing the settings.
This reissues the advertising-dedicated device identifier associating the Informative Data acquired by the Company’s service and the mobile device used by the application user, and so can stop advertising delivery based on previously existing Informative Data.
However, this will not stop the delivery of advertising using Informative Data. Delivery of advertising using Informative Data will begin anew with any subsequent use of the application.
9.Revisions to This Page
The Company will continuously examine and improve its information control system. In the process, the content of this page may be revised. For any revisions, the Company will notify Internet users at an appropriate time depending on the changes, either on this website or on another website managed by the Company, or by any other method deemed appropriate by the Company. The revisions will take effect from the date separately specified by the Company.
10.Informative Data Security Control Measures
The Company, in its handling of Informative Data, will take and strictly manage security control measures in order to prevent any Informative Data unauthorized access or leakage, or Informative Data ruination, destruction or damage (including any loss, corruption, or manipulation), and will endeavor to continuously review, correct and improve the content and methods in such measures.
